Musella is a rhizomatous genus of 1 or 2 species in the Musaceae family native to southeast Asia, including southwest China (Yunnan and Guizhou), Vietnam, Laos and Myanmar. It is related to both Musa and Ensete.
Musella splendida In 2002 this new Musella species was described from Vietnam (Valmayor and Danh, 2002).
